VISION:
The vision of the Mom’s Connection of
St. Marie is to be a source of spiritual and emotional nourishment for
mothers.
Through this ministry we hope to create a place where supportive
friendships are formed and women are uplifted.
Most importantly we seek to bring all women to a personal knowledge and
experience of God’s love as given to us thru His Son Jesus Christ.
MISSION:

To
provide a reliable, loving and spirit-filled child care ministry that
embraces the
vision statement so that moms can be nurtured and strengthened and in
turn be empowered to give back to the church and their families. |

To
provide an environment where women can grow in love for Jesus and embrace
the fullness of Christian faith present in the Catholic Church. (Phil
1:9-11) |

To
foster a spirit of mentoring where wisdom pertaining to family life, child
rearing, homemaking and other issues related to women can be passed from
generation to generation.

To
be a source of prayer for our sisters in Christ especially when they are
struggling. |

raise up women leaders who can communicate the gospel message both in action
and personal sharing. (1Peter 3:15) |
We
seek to accomplish this mission by having formal meetings with a speaker from
Sept-May.
The meeting will be on the 2nd Friday of the month from 9-11
AM.
The set up of the meeting will generally consist of light snack and
fellowship, guest speaker 9-10 AM, sharing in the form of small group
discussions (10-10:30) and craft or other creative activity (10:30-11).
In
addition we will foster the growth of this ministry thru social outlets for moms
and kids. Over the summer months we have had mom’s group that met weekly at a
local playground for picnics and fellowship.
Also, we organized field trips that were of interest to moms and kids.
During the winter months we will have a gym time for moms and kids that
will be available on the 1st and 3rd Fridays from 10:45-12.
A Mom’s Connection bible study will be held on the 4th
Friday of the month from 9-11 AM.
