| On Sunday, November 23, 2003 we
commemorate the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus
Christ the King.
This is a special feast in our Church's calendar - the Priest at your
Church will wear either gold or white vestments to show what a special day
this is! This is the last Sunday of our Church's year - next Sunday
(11/30) we begin the season of Advent and a whole new year. This
Sunday, we focus on the triumph of our Savior Jesus Christ. The
readings call on us to follow Jesus, our Good Shepherd.
In the Gospel reading (John33b-37) Jesus reminds us that
"everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice". With all
that is happening in the world around us, let's take time to listen to
Jesus' voice, to come to know Him more through prayer, and to read about
Him, His life and His words in our Bibles.
When you color this week, think about sharing your picture
with someone you love and telling them about Jesus Christ, our King!

 | On the crown below, write all of the reasons that
Jesus Christ is our King and Savior. You could even cut out the
crown and make a special "Christ the King" banner out of paper to
proclaim the Good News about Jesus! Take some time with Mom, Dad,
or someone special to read Sunday's readings before you go to Mass on
Sunday. |
