Dine Without Whine
is the perfect tool to help your family enjoy stress free and nutritious
family dinners.
This Week's Recipes:
Main Dish Recipe
Tortellini Sausage Alfredo
Makes 4 servings
2 9-ounce packages frozen cheese tortellini (or spinach tortellini)
2 teaspoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 dash nutmeg
1/2 pound bulk Italian sausages
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped green peppers
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
4 tablespoons flour
2 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1. In a large pan, bring 2 quarts of water to a boil. Add the tortellini,
oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder and nutmeg. Cook according to package
directions.
2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook sausage, onion, green pepper, and
mushrooms over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in
flour until blended. Gradually add milk.
3. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
4. Drain tortellini and add to the sausage mixture. Stir in the Parmesan
cheese and Worcestershire sauce.
Serve with Tossed Green Salad and French bread

items you may already have on hand - add breakfast, snack or lunch items
you may need and you're ready to shop!
Recipes will be fairly simple and family friendly - meaning hopefully your
children (or picky husband) will enjoy them as well; and they will include
ingredients that you have actually heard of. (You won't have to search all
over town for that special ingredient!)
