Dine Without Whine
is the perfect tool to help your family enjoy stress free and nutritious
family dinners.
This Week's Recipes:
Main Dish Recipe
Enchiladas
Makes 4 servings
1/2 pound ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onions
2 tablespoons chopped green chilies (optional)
1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
1/4 cup olives
8 corn tortillas
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 can mild enchilada sauce
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 head lettuce shredded
2 cups vegetable oil (or enough to fill bottom of frying pan)
1. Brown hamburger, onions and chili’s until hamburger is cooked and
onions are transparent.
2. Stir in tomato sauce, olives and 1 C. of cheese.
3. Heat oil in frying pan and place one tortilla into oil. Cook for approx
15 seconds (or until soft) Remove from oil, and place on a paper towel
covered plate. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture in the center of
tortilla, roll it up, and place in a greased baking dish - seam side down.
Continue this process until all 8 tortillas are filled.
4. Pour enchilada sauce over tortillas, sprinkle with rest of cheese, and
bake at 350 degrees for 25 min. or until bubbly and cheese is melted.
Serve with Green Salad

the week that includes all the necessary ingredients to prepare the
recipes highlighted in the newsletter! All you have to do is cross off any
items you may already have on hand - add breakfast, snack or lunch items
you may need and you're ready to shop!
Recipes will be fairly simple and family friendly - meaning hopefully your
children (or picky husband) will enjoy them as well; and they will include
ingredients that you have actually heard of. (You won't have to search all
over town for that special ingredient!)
