Dine Without Whine
is the perfect tool to help your family enjoy stress free and nutritious
family dinners.
This Week's Recipes:
Weekend Brunch
Ideas:
Strawberry French Toast
Makes 8 servings
Prep: Start the night before
2 3-ounce packages cream cheese softened
3/4 cup sliced fresh strawberries
1/3 cup confectioners' sugar
1 loaf French bread cut into 1" slices
10 eggs
2/3 cup whipping cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Strawberry Sauce
4 cups sliced fresh strawberries
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons water
1. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, strawberries and
confectioner's sugar until combined. Spread about 2 T. on one side
of half of the bread slices; top with the remaining slices of bread
- to make
sandwiches.
2. Place sandwiches in an ungreased 13x9 inch baking dish.
3. In a bowl, beat the eggs, cream and vanilla. Pour over the bread.
Turn each sandwich.
4. Cover and refrigerated for 8 hours or overnight.
5. With a slotted spatula, transfer sandwiches to a greased 15x10
inch baking pan. Discard any remaining egg mixture.
6. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Turn and bake 10 minutes
longer or until golden brown.
7. Meanwhile, for the sauce, combine the strawberries, sugar and
water in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes stirring
occasionally. Serve French toast with strawberry sauce.

the week that includes all the necessary ingredients to prepare the
recipes highlighted in the newsletter! All you have to do is cross off any
items you may already have on hand - add breakfast, snack or lunch items
you may need and you're ready to shop!
Recipes will be fairly simple and family friendly - meaning hopefully your
children (or picky husband) will enjoy them as well; and they will include
ingredients that you have actually heard of. (You won't have to search all
over town for that special ingredient!)
