What is this book about?

This book is about how an owner loves his dog and sheep and that the dog loves him back.  Also, the dog, which is called Lass, does his job of taking care of the sheep the best he can.

What makes this book special?
What makes this book special is that the owner cares for his sheep and sheepdog and that his sheepdog cares for him.

Who should read this book?
This book could be read by both boys and girls.  It is good to read with someone else, but it's still good alone.

A man named Mr. Keller looks for a sheepdog to care for his sheep.  Finally he found a dog named Lass. She loved the Keller's very much and obeyed them whenever she could.  One night Mr. Keller and Lass heard something by the sheep.  They waited and then found a wild animal.  Finally the animal went away.  Lass worked the hardest she could.
