Project: Pocket Love Notes

Show someone in your life how much you love them with these very special love notes. This is a great tradition to start on Valentine's Day, but it can be continued throughout the year.

Give just one card or bundle a whole collection together to make someone smile. Hide them in a jacket pocket, backpack, or lunch box. Or, leave a stack in a pretty dish on the bathroom counter. Let the kids choose one after brushing their teeth, just before bed. Place them by the front door to give to visitors or to kids on their way out the door to school.

Gather together
20 white, unlined index cards
or
5 sheets of stationary paper with roses or hearts, cut into quarters
20 heart shaped stickers
Colored markers, paints or potato prints for decoration

Directions

1. Fold the index cards or small slips of paper in half.

2. Inside write, "I love you because…"
Or, write words of encouragement such as,
"I believe in you," "You're the best!" "I know you can do it!"
You can also write love quotes. I've listed several here below.

3. Fold your message in half and seal it with a heart sticker.

4. Decorate the outside of your secret message using colored markers or potato prints.
