In Week Four of the Catholic Mom Summer Book Club, Elizabeth Tomlin discusses the importance of conflict resolution and mentorship in ministry.

For the Catholic Mom Summer Book Club, we've discussed Catholic Mom contributor Elizabeth Tomlin's book, Joyful Momentum: Growing and Sustaining Vibrant Women's Groups.

In this week's Book Club episode, Elizabeth reviews chapters on conflict resolution and mentorship in ministry. St. Faustina Kowalska is held up as a model for those who need to resolve conflict; doing so involves deeds, words, and works of mercy. The dangers of triangulation are explored in a compassionate way, along with the model Jesus gives us in Matthew 10 for resolving conflict.

The final chapter of the book centers on mentorship, focusing on both practical mentorship and spiritual accompaniment, which we see in the Gospel story of the disciples on the road to Emmaus.
