Somehow, in the hustle and bustle of the week, I entirely missed the flap between Sarah Palin and David Letterman over some inappropriate jokes aimed at her 14 year old daughter. I'm wondering what you think about this story - is there need for Letterman to overtly apologize, or is this "much ado about nothing"? Has Letterman done Mrs. Palin a favor in propelling her back into the national spotlight? And finally, do politicians need to expect that their innocent children are "fair game" as fodder for late night jokes when they offer themselves as candidates for community service?
