Greetings and thank you for taking a moment to view one of my favorite areas of our catholic faith, the Blessed Virgin Mary. My name is Dean Robledo and I am a parishioner here at St. Patrick's church in Merced. I've lived in the area for over the past 20 years, my father having served in the Air Force at Castle AFB when it was still active.
One of my hobbies is art, in particular color drawings of various subjects related to our faith. I would love to share some of them with you, and hope you enjoy viewing them. I work with prismacolor pencils as my media, and strive to bring out the color and softness of the pieces I do.
This drawing of Our Lady of Fatima was done from a photograph I had taken of the traveling pilgrim statue when it made a stop here in Merced. I believe Our Lady's message to the children there at Fatima stills holds just as strong today in our lives. She continuously points us to her Son Jesus, especially through the prayers of the rosary which she holds in her hands. Please feel free to comment and check back quarterly as I will post more of my artwork here for you to view.Thank you and God Bless!
