I recently had the pleasure of reviewing the lovely picture book Violets for Mary by author Norma McCulliss and illustrator Sally Bedrosian. Here's a brief description of the book:

Join little Anna and her brother, Joe, as they learn the best way to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary. Walk home from school with them as they learn a lesson about sharing with others. The last day of school is coming soon. What should they do with the rest of their flowers? This charming new story for early readers will help your child learn to read and love the Mother of God. Every other page features a beautiful hand-drawn illustration. The simple vocabulary and short sentences encourage children to read by themselves. The story and illustrations are a completely orthodox presentation of the Catholic Faith for young readers.

This book was recently reviewed here by The Catholic Sun.  The book will definitely encourage young readers towards a lasting devotion to our Blessed Mother.  During October, the month of the Rosary, why not share this new little treasure with the special children in your life?
