Little is known about the life of St. Bartholomew, but as an Apostle of Christ, we know he gave his life to service of the Lord and to spreading the good news of the Gospel. In today's gospel passage from John 1, we witness Jesus' calling of Bartholomew/Nathaniel and hear his absolute proclamation: "Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel." Today, we pray for the grace and strength to know that Jesus is our King and the ability to prayerfully share that knowledge with all we meet.
