Because it's Mother's Day weekend, and because we all deserve a little eye candy -- especially when we're enjoying Pinterest -- this week's board of the week is a virtual gift to all of my mom friends out there! My Creations at Lety's Creations by Lety Alvarez contains the types of treasures we moms would buy for ourselves for Mother's Day if such things were socially acceptable!

Lety Alvarez is the proprietor of Lety's Creations and a Catholic jewelry designer. Her faith, but also her creative flair, shines through both in her pieces and in her pins, which are photographed beautifully. You'll also find Lety pinning craft ideas, inspiration people and animals on her boards.

I'm curious to know if any of our Pinterest users have purchased items you've seen pinned, or if any of my friends who are selling items have found Pinterest to be a good source of visitors to your stores.

As for Lety, and her Creations, I hope someone might take the hint and send my wonderful husband a link to this week's board of the week!

One final treat for you — our good friend Allison Girone of the Catholic Pinterest Group Board has kindly agreed to offer a weekly pointer for us on how to use some best practices to enjoy and effectively employ Pinterest. Here’s this week’s tip from Allison:

Give credit, we are obligated to make sure our pins link to the original source.  While Pinterest says best not to promote your own stuff...what's safer?  You're assured of getting the credit right and there's no chance of making yourself angry. It's your board. No one has to follow you. There is an unfollow button. Create a nice mix, share the love.

If you’re a Catholic using Pinterest, please drop a link in the comments below to share your boards. Also, I’d love to hear about why you love Pinterest and how you think this latest craze might be used to spread the Good News.
