Juggle without Struggle Juggle without Struggle

Today, I'm happy to share my recent conversation with Jenn Giroux, who shares with us her involvement in the recently published book project Juggle without Struggle. You'll likely recognize the book's title, since they've generously supported us for the last month as a sponsor here on CatholicMom.com. Here's an overview of the book:

Peggie O'Neill has left behind a beautiful book which reminds us that "earth has no sorrow that heaven can't heal." In all the juggling that life demands of all of us, this book is a great reminder that although we all have suffering at one time or another, we can accomplish our purpose in life without the struggle. It all begins with a daily discipline of giving yourself the gift of time alone everyday with God. Juggle Without Struggle is a novel that invites the reader on a journey toward finding daily inner peace contained in 5 secrets, 4 weeks, and nine minutes.

Q: Jenn, please briefly introduce yourself and your family to our readers.

I am the wife of Dan Giroux and we have 9 children ages 12 to 28. I have been a Registered Nurse for 28 years. I have worked in the Pro-life, Pro-family movement for 3 0 years. I am a writer, publicist, and national speaker. Currently I have founded the Speaking of Motherhood outreach program to educate young women in high school, college, and older about the physical and spiritual harms of contraception as well as the beauty of accepting God’s gift of children. I am a co-founder and Vice President of Cradle Concepts, a small publishing and PR Company through which I am currently working with Country Music star and catholic convert, Collin Raye. It is through my publishing experience that the ‘Juggle Without Struggle’ project found me.

Q: Tell us a bit about Juggle Without Struggle - what were Peggie O’Neill's goals for the book, and what will readers discover between its covers?

When the family of Peggie O'Neill contacted me about publishing this book, they shared with me that Peggie had written this book prior to her death just over a year ago now. She was an amazing person who lived her Catholic Faith every day. She started "Prayer Power" in Philadelphia which resulted in over 5000 people praying at the same hour every week for priestly vocations. She also was the founder of Birthright and did many other works of charity while raising 5 boys. Peggie worked very hard to complete this novel before she died. In the book she shares the spiritual secrets that she, herself, practiced in her prayer life for over 40 years.

Peggie was involved in the family automobile business for many years. She trained employees from all walks of life and faiths. Her compassionate heart wanted to share a path to peace with all who were struggling from the heartaches that life can bring into our lives. She wanted to leave behind a message of hope rooted in the daily practice of spending time in prayer every single day thanking God and surrendering to Him all the pain and suffering in life.

Within the book readers will discover 5 spiritual secrets to practice every day. Praising God in all things and at all times, embracing every moment as God's precious gift to our lives, counting our blessings every day while asking God to help us to use our gifts to honor Him, choosing to forgive others who have wounded us, and encouraging others ---these are all acts of the will that are in line with all that I have learned in my life about prayers of petition and thanksgiving and Christian charity toward "the least of my brothers" in my Catholic Faith. Yet, they are also universal elements of spirituality that reach across faith lines to help women from all backgrounds.

Q: What types of feedback are you receiving from readers who have enjoyed the book?

We have had feedback that this book is changing women’s lives. The book is having an amazing impact on women. So many women today have become too tired, too bitter, or too angry to pray. There are many more women out there that are surviving the stresses in life in this void spiritual state than we know. And often they keep it all bottled up, without ever letting anyone know it. This book is intended to help those who are challenged in these ways but also seems to be reaching those who already have a regimented prayer routine but may need a new perspective.

Q: Could you tell us a bit about your personal involvement in this project, and how it has impacted you personally?

When my business partner and I agreed to read the book we both felt that it would help many women in this busy and chaotic world in which we live. We live in a time that places great demands on women from a very young age. While simultaneously, it is a time of very little catechesis. Although I have never had the blessing of meeting Peg, I have been blessed to get to know this extrordinary woman through the eyes of those who loved her. For me I found the book to be a great reminder to give every moment, every sadness, every hurt, and every joy to God. We may know these things in our head but practicing them every day in our hearts requires discipline and blind Faith. This book is an invitation to allow God's grace to work in our heart and a roadmap to inner peace. Practicing the 5 secrets for me is the perfect complement to the grace of the sacraments of my Holy Catholic faith..

Q: Are there any additional thoughts or comments you would like to share with our readers?

The story of this author’s family and their efforts to bring this book to market is truly a labor of love. Peggie was a member of the Wolfington family in Philadelphia. They are all very active in the community and along with Peg, were very instrumental in the launch of the movie, Bella. Peg’s sisters, daughter-in-law, and niece were driven to fulfill this final wish of Peggie O’Neill and their persistent and loving efforts are bearing great fruit for readers.
