SPO Banquet Save the Date

Saint Paul’s Outreach New Jersey is hosting its 3rd Annual Benefit Banquet on Tuesday, April 16th, at Nanina’s In The Park. Saint Paul’s Outreach New Jersey (SPO) is continuing its tradition of honoring outstanding Catholics who exemplify a life dedicated to serving Christ through His Church. In 2010, SPO honored Msgr. Michael Kelly for his life as a faithful priest, mentor to the youth, and his example of servant leadership. In 2011, SPO honored Congressmen Mike Ferguson for his life and service as a Catholic congressman, his defense of life at all stages, and his public service. This year, SPO is delighted to honor Archbishop John J. Myers with the 2013 Saint Paul’s Outreach Servant Leader Award. SPO will honor Archbishop Myers for his dedication to the Church through his leadership as Archbishop and Bishop for over 25 years, for his defense of the sanctity of marriage, and for his dedication to the fostering of vocations through concern for the youth.

Saint Paul’s Outreach is a Catholic, 501(c) 3 organization that actively invites college students to a life of Christian discipleship. With Saint Paul as their example, they create vibrant, faith-filled environments that challenge students to deepen their relationships with Christ in the fullness of the Catholic Church. Saint Paul’s Outreach is a nationwide program that started under the ecclesiastical support of the Archbishop of St. Paul and Minneapolis, and in recent years has expanded to six additional states: Arizona, Florida, Kansas, Ohio, Texas, and New Jersey.

SPONJ Staff & Missionaries with Archbishop MyersSaint Paul’s Outreach offers four primary areas of programing: campus outreach and retreats, student households, the Formation in Christian Living program, and the School of the New Evangelization. Through these programs they reach students on a number of campuses throughout New Jersey with the good news of the Gospel; call them into a Christian, faith-filled environment; form them with teachings and personal relationships; and send them to bring the faith to others. In New Jersey alone, they have already reached hundreds of students through their retreats, have 11 men and 6 women living in Men’s and Women’s Formation Households, and have over 60 young adults participating in the Christian in Formation Living Program.

The Benefit Banquet will be hosted at Nanina’s In the Park, located at 540 Mill Street, Belleville, NJ 07109. Cocktail hour begins are 6:00 PM, followed by dinner and the program at 7:00 PM.
