For me, watching the two of them -- faced with such a challenge in the earliest weeks of their marriage -- has been a true lesson in what "holy matrimony" really means.* *So I'm thrilled to pass along information on an initiative aimed at encouraging Thom and Natalie spiritually, emotionally and financially.* *I was thinking today about how almost every single Catholic mom I know would jump at the chance to be a part of Thomas and Natalie's solution. Helping is what we do. Imagine that this were your child, your brother, your husband. Ask yourself how you hope people would respond. Would you want them to "like" a status on Facebook, or "retweet" or "pin" the graphic? Or would you want them to prayerfully consider what small sacrifice they might make in order to be able to offer a small gift to this couple? Since then, Thomas has made amazing strides in his recovery, but he still has a long way to go. Thomas moved out of rehab two weeks ago and is finally home with his wife, Natalie. Throughout this whole journey, Thomas and Natalie have remained steadfast, and have been a shining example of marriage, love, and the faith. We are watching miracles happen every day, in Thomas and Natalie’s lives, but also in the lives of the people who have been touched by their story.
