Hendey](https://www.catholicmom.com/articles/author/lisa-m-hendey) ***Today, we are blessed to share about the beautiful Christmas album "Voice of Joy" by Friar Alessandro.***   [![Voice of Joy with Friar Alessandro](https://www.catholicmom.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/Friar-Cover-.png?width=302&height=302&name=Friar-Cover-.png)](https://www.catholicmom.com/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/Friar-Cover-.png) Voice of Joy with Friar Alessandro   Friar Alessandro has captured the hearts of people around the world with his beautiful voice and enormous warmth. His new album is set to fill those same hearts and many more with the purest of joy. This is your invitation to take part in the experience that has already enraptured so many. The Franciscan Friar is a sanctuary guide in Assisi, Italy where he was born. His hope as the first Franciscan Friar to be signed to a major record label, is that his voice will have the ability to foster a stronger Catholic presence in contemporary art & music. His enthusiasm for music since childhood influenced him to study organ, musical composition, and operatic singing at institutions and conservatories throughout Italy. However, his success in music felt incomplete in the absence of a driven religious life. So at the age of twenty-one, he entered as a postulant in the Order of the Friars Minor of Umbria and would take his final vows some ten years later. It was in fact the desire to join the Order which pushed him to complete his qualification at the musical conservatory as it was considered a touchstone for the seriousness of his commitment. At present he lives at the Porziuncola Friary in Santa Maria degli Angeli, Assisi, where he welcomes pilgrims to the Basilica. 'Voice of Joy' is a collection of traditional Christmas carols, seasonal melodies, and sacred arias. All of the artist proceeds are directed to The Order of Friars Minor, a registered charity benefiting Franciscan efforts worldwide. We hope you will join us in our mission to fill this holiday season with the most sacred of music." **Purchase "Voice of Joy" at [Amazon](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EYCMO5Y/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00EYCMO5Y&linkCode=as2&tag=catholicmomcom) or [iTunes](https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/voice-of-joy-deluxe/id720867942). ** ### Share this article [![Share on Facebook](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/facebook-24x24.png)](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2013%2F11%2F20%2Fwin-voice-of-joy-by-friar-alessandro%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dfacebook) [![Share on Twitter](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/twitter-24x24.png)](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?original_referer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2013%2F11%2F20%2Fwin-voice-of-joy-by-friar-alessandro%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dtwitter&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2013%2F11%2F20%2Fwin-voice-of-joy-by-friar-alessandro%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dtwitter&source=tweetbutton&text=Listen%20to%20%22Voice%20of%20Joy%22%20by%20Friar%20Alessandro) [![Share on Email](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/email-24x24.png)](mailto:?subject=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2013%2F11%2F20%2Fwin-voice-of-joy-by-friar-alessandro%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail%20&body=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2013%2F11%2F20%2Fwin-voice-of-joy-by-friar-alessandro%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail) ** #### About the Author ![Lisa M.
