When I remodeled my kitchen, I had the builder install two vertical filing cabinets on either side of my built-in desk.  I loved them – at first.  Within months (okay, weeks), they were jam-packed with papers – regardless of how many folders I put in and labeled, I still seem to end up sifting through paper after paper trying to find what I need.  It is frustrating, time consuming, and on more occasions than I wish to remember – completely unsuccessful.

This is how I feel about bookmarking websites and ‘web-finds’ on my web browser (which is Google Chrome more often than not these days).  I set up folders and try to keep my links organized but inevitably I lose whatever article, blog, or image I filed so carefully away for later use.  Enter Pinterest – which I have decided is the finest internet filing system ever created!

Last year, I created the Uplifting Media board, to solve my issue of remembering where I hid the links my favorite podcasts, television shows, movies, and magazines.

To launch 2014, I am working on collecting links to Catholic Blogs. While, as I have mentioned before, I do not even like the word, “blog”, I have come to realize and appreciate the value and power of creating, reading, and sharing blog content in the work of evangelization and catechesis.   There are so many wonderful blogs to select from – just take a stroll at the CatholicMom.com Contributors!

Visit my new Pinterest Catholic Blogs board to start exploring today – and come back often, as I am adding new pins every day.   In particular, I am visiting the new Daily Gospel Reflection column, and adding each reflection writer (those who have blogs) — after I do my Gospel reading and reflection for the day!
