# You are MINE and I Am Yours

Sep 4, 2014 9:30:39 AM  |  by [Melanie Jean Juneau](https://www.catholicmom.com/articles/author/melanie-jean-juneau)

Aware of personal weakness,

![cd626cb980c0e809eaa3f28994e956db (1)](https://www.catholicmom.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/cd626cb980c0e809eaa3f28994e956db-1.jpg?width=498&height=750&name=cd626cb980c0e809eaa3f28994e956db-1.jpg) The Intercession of Christ and the Virgin, before 1402, by Lorenzo Monaco, (Piero di Giovanni), Italian, ca. 1370–1425,

failure.

After years of striving

for more of His Presence

 ego and pride  had shattered.

Exhausted and defeated .

SUDDENLY,

breaking through the clammer of mundane, mindless duties,

unexpected words

pop into my mind

seemingly out of nowhere.

*You are Mine*

but even more startling

*I am yours.*

Frozen in shocked confusion.

Still more light pierces

the ice of my boxed in  brain

* you are now one of U**s*

*in communion with the Trinity*

*you are in Us and *

*We are in you.*

Recognition of Truth

then

a slow smile spreads

wider and wider

as

eyes dance with joy.

I am home.

Light as triumphed over darkness
