Today's Gospel: John 20:19-23 or John 15:26-27; 16:12-15
Pentecost Sunday
Happy Birthday, my dear Church. I am so glad you are part of my life. Because of you, I am reconciled to my God and can receive His forgiveness and peace over and over again. Through you, I receive in word and sacrament my Lord and Savior. The graces that come to me by means of you are so overwhelming that they can turn me, a wretched sinner, into a glorious saint! You have taught me that God is not just my Almighty Creator, Loving Savior, and Sanctifying Advocate; He is my Brother and my Best Friend. The gifts that I have received through you are immeasurable. I am blessed to be celebrating with you today. Happy Pentecost!
Ponder:
Like the mother She is, the Church gives to us daily over and over again. What can we give the Church today on Her birthday? Any gift suggestions?
Pray:
Come, Holy Spirit, help me celebrate in Your love. Amen.
