TAN Books has been named the official publisher of the American Chesterton Society.
Founded in 1996 to bring awareness of G.K. Chesterton to a broader audience, ACS is committed to promoting the unique and enduring thought of Chesterton to new generations. Today TAN Books is proud to be a part of that mission and to reach even wider audiences through our extensive distribution partners.
"I have long been an avid reader of G. K. Chesterton, and an admirer of the Chesterton Society. I am excited to bring the works, thought, and spirit of this great man and this great organization to an even wider audience," said Conor Gallagher, Publisher of TAN Books. "It is an honor to continue the work with Dale Ahlquist [president of ACS] to bring these books—and Chesterton—to more people."
TAN will bring its Chesterton Society titles to new audiences, making them available at generous discounts to its wide reseller network and featuring them prominently in its consumer marketing, which includes more than 500,000 direct mail pieces and 2 million email promotions per year.
TAN Books, in cooperation with the American Chesterton Society, will also begin releasing several new books a year under the American Chesterton Society Imprint.
"We started ACS Books to fill a need, not only to revive vital classic works, but to get excellent new authors into print," said Dale Ahlquist, president of ACS. "We are excited that TAN is helping us expand our reach, as they become the official publisher of these wonderful titles—and many more to come."
