Meet & Support Keyla: Our Unbound Child of the Month

Unbound has joined us as a "World View Wednesday" contributor. Each month, Unbound will be sharing a column to inform you about the lives of families around the world. We will also offer you the chance to partner tangibly with them by prayerfully considering sponsoring a child or aging friend. Lisa Hendey

Meet "Keyla", our Unbound Child of the Month for July!

Meet Keyla!

Keyla is a beautiful six-year-old girl growing up in Colombia. She likes to draw and loves to participate in her PE class. She helps her family at home by making the beds and washing the dishes.

Keyla lives with her father, mother and younger brothers. Her father, Jhon, is a construction worker, and her mom, Nubia, works at home. Keyla’s parents work very hard to provide for the entire family but they struggle on a daily basis to provide some of their basic needs. The four family members all live together in a small house made of brick, a clay roof, and cement floors.

By sponsoring Keyla, she will begin to receive the tangible benefits such as education and nutrition. This will also provide the family to be fully integrated in a local caring community, with programs and services designed to improve their quality of life and empower them to break the cycle of poverty.
