Meet & Support Bharath: Our Unbound Child of the Month

Unbound has joined us as a "World View Wednesday" contributor. Each month, Unbound will be sharing a column to inform you about the lives of families around the world. We will also offer you the chance to partner tangibly with them by prayerfully considering sponsoring a child or aging friend. Lisa Hendey

Meet "Bharath", our Unbound Child of the Month for August!

Meet Bharath!

Bharath is a handsome eight-year-old boy growing up in India. He likes to draw pictures and paint. When he grows up he is interested in becoming a doctor. At home he helps with carrying groceries from the shop.

Bharath lives with his mother, sister and grandparents. Their brick home has an asbestos-sheet roof and a stone floor. His mother is working as a laundress, washing and ironing other people’s clothes. From time-to-time, Bharath’s grandparents help with some of their needs.

By sponsoring Bharath, he will begin to receive the tangible benefits such as education and nutrition. This will also provide the family to be fully integrated in a local caring community, with programs and services designed to improve their quality of life and empower them to break the cycle of poverty.
