Teens are usually disengaged at Mass not because they don’t care about God or don’t want to know Him but because no one has ever connected the dots between the ritual and the relationship. Altaration acknowledges “the elephant in the sanctuary” as Mark Hart calls it, encouraging and challenging teens to take another look – a deeper look – at the liturgy and all that heaven is doing here on earth through it.
