Optional Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Today’s Gospel tells us why we should pray without ceasing. The unjust, uninvolved Judge finally came around. The widow wore him down. If this dishonest Judge came around, what about God? As our loving Father, He will be that much more quick to answer us. God is looking for active signs of our faith. Certainly, praying about everything is one such sign of faith. If we remain faithful, God will answer us.

God does not get sick of us asking Him for things. He expects us to need Him. He wants to know our wants and needs, our hopes and dreams. Don’t feel strange about asking multiple times. Be thankful that your Heavenly Father never tires of hearing from you.

Ponder:

Do I pray without ceasing?

Do I feel that I ask too much of God?

What is one thing I should ask Him for now?

Pray:

Lord, teach me to come to you for everything. Show me that nothing is too big or too small for You. Be a Father to me. Amen.
