I'm a musician, and I've been rehearsing for two months for a December 18 Christmas concert at church. But outside rehearsal, I hadn't turned on any Christmas music until this week--even though there's a local radio station that's been all-Christmas all the time since mid-November. (And regarding traditional carols: the director of our concert refuses to rehearse those until Advent begins, claiming it's just too soon to play "Hark the Herald Angels Sing"--even just for practice.)
How early is too early to listen to Christmas songs and carols?
