Bloom Where You Are Planted

This plant shouldn’t be blooming out of this brick, but it is perfect and gorgeous. Look closely at its beauty and delicacy. Its presence in this unlikely spot exhibits a powerful willingness to colorfully live out God’s creative plan oblivious to obvious odds.

This flower has taught me a lot lately. I’ve been watching it closely. This little flower is all about what it can do. No time has been wasted on what’s not available. It uses all its energy on everything that is available. The results are amazing! Miraculous even.

What would our lives look like if we decided to do the same? What if we where so focused on what God has given to us right now in our lives that we absolutely wasted no time and energy at all thinking about what might not be available to us?

What surprises of beauty and strength would bloom in our lives? What amazing results would we see as we trusted God’s will for us to naturally unfold, revealing itself to us?

The word of God is the seed that falls upon our hearts. May we let that seed grow in our hearts, embrace it all just as confidently as this little flower, looking up to God’s light, enjoying the sunshine of the gifts of our lives.
