All God’s Angels: Loving & Learning from Angelic Messengers by Martin Shannon, CJ is a series of reflections on the angelic visitations that are recorded in the Bible.

Collected here are some of the more familiar instances, when those messengers from heaven made their way to ordinary men and women of faith (sometimes very weak faith), to deliver God’s word to their ears and to do God’s work in their lives. The brief reflections included with each reading are meant to be aides to prayerful meditation on the text. What can be learned from these visitations? What can be applied to our own lives of faith? Is there a heavenly “message” for us? The questions may help to further guide that meditation for individuals or groups. Beautiful full color art throughout the book enhances each entry.

Author Martin Shannon, CJ is an Episcopal priest and member of the Community of Jesus, an ecumenical Benedictine community on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, where he lives with his wife and grown children. He earned his M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Liturgical Studies from the Catholic University of America.
