CatholicMom Exclusive Music Premiere: "It's Us Against the World"

Singer-songwriter Josh Ross announces his latest album is set to release, February 2017. Recently, some of the new tracks have seen premieres with Popwrapped and Live in Limbo. In an interview with All Access Music Josh states,

"I was inspired to write an album full of songs for a wedding. I wanted to record an instrumental processional song for the bride, a few low-key songs to be played during dinner, and several upbeat songs that could get people moving on the dance floor. More importantly, my dream was to create an album that authentically portrayed love and relationships. There are many songs that make love appear to be either a fairytale or a tragedy. Instead, I wanted to offer an honest look at the joys and struggles of pursuing, marrying, and living with your best friend."

The latest track "It's Us Against The World" will be exclusively hosted by CatholicMom.com, and Josh Ross could not be more excited. Here is what he had to say about the track:

"My wife helped me come up with the title for this song. We have often felt that it's us against the world. With so many people, activities, and noise vying for our attention, we have found it so important to prioritize our relationship with God and each other above all else. This song was fun to write because it's quite different from my other music. Many of my songs have an acoustic, laid back sound like Jack Johnson and Jason Mraz. However, It's Us Against the World incorporates 80s style electronic instruments and upbeat danceable rhythms that bring back memories of my first dates with my wife." - Josh Ross

In addition to being an award-winning music teacher, Josh Ross has an active career as a performer and recording artist. Since 2012, Josh has performed throughout Michigan, the U.S., and internationally in Mexico and Poland. His first single "All There Is" demonstrated significant regional success, reaching #16 on the singer-songwriter charts in 2013. In November 2014, Josh released his debut CD, "All There Is." In April 2016, Josh released a new CD "Always Loved. Always Welcome." with the B.A.S.I.C. Band at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Troy, Michigan.

Josh has built a following by employing memorable melodies, meaningful lyrics, and jazzy smooth vocals reminiscent of Jason Mraz and Jack Johnson. His songs blend genres ranging from acoustic folk to piano ballads to Southern rock. He has played in rock, pop, and cover bands and currently leads the worship band at St. Anastasia. Currently, Josh performs solo and with his backing band at weddings, private parties, and concerts across the Midwest.

Josh is passionate about sharing the gift of music with others. He ensures that students receive world-class instruction while having fun throughout the learning process. Josh has trained with the internationally acclaimed vocal coaches Ken Tamplin and Brett Manning, and he is an active member of The Elite Guitar Teachers Inner Circle, an international group of guitar teachers trained by the most successful guitar teacher in the world, Tom Hess. Josh's ongoing training as a vocal, guitar, and piano instructor empowers him to continually deliver fresh,top-notch instruction to his students.

Josh currently lives in Troy, Michigan, and enjoys empowering musicians to make their musical dreams a reality.
