Pray the Angelus with The Saint Teresa’s Online Book Club:

If you are looking for a great faith-based book study, I would love to invite you to  St. Teresa's Online Book Club.  This faith-sharing group is a great way to read awesome Catholic books with friends from everywhere! The next book we will be reading together is Praying the Angelus: Find Joy, Peace, and Purpose in Everyday Life by Jared Dees. The discussions began in early May, so there's still time to participate. We would love for you to join us!

This book is a practical solution to how to incorporate faith in the midst of our day to day life, not to mention it is an easy read.

About the book:

The Angelus is a centuries-old Catholic devotion that recalls the annunciation of Christ's birth by the Angel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary. In Praying the Angelus, popular author and speaker Jared Dees reinvigorates the devotion, shares intimately from his own experience of it, shows us how to get started, and enriches the practice with original meditations to reflect on the words of both the Angelus and the Regina Caeli.”

About the Author:

Jared Dees is the creator of  The Religion Teacher, which provides practical resources and effective teaching strategies to religious educators. A  graduate of the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) program at the University of Notre Dame, he holds master’s degrees in education and theology, both from Notre Dame. Dees has taught in Catholic schools and parish religious education programs, and his articles have appeared in Momentum, Today’s Parish, RTJ’s Creative Catechist, CATECHIST, Catechetical Leader, and on numerous websites and works as the Digital Marketing Director at Ave Maria Press. He shares his personal journey in the book about how the Angelus brought him closer to the Blessed Mother and deepened his Faith in Christ.

Once you sign up for this study on facebook, you click “join” and receive notifications at the top of the page. After that you will receive comments and posts from the group and even the author about each chapter.  We even invite you to sharing your reactions on the daily Facebook thread, and be inspired to deeper love for the Blessed Mother through the Angelus and Regina Caeli.

We’ll aim at reading one chapter per week. Every Saturday, the group administrators will moderate discussions based on the chapter of the week. On our start date will be the second week of May. We begin each book with an informal discussion about about the introduction.
