Today's Gospel: Matthew 9:14-17
Through the Sacraments, particularly Reconciliation and the Eucharist, we are being changed by Christ. He is shaping our hearts and minds, helping us to shed our old lives (the old wineskins) and prepare to receive Him properly (into new wineskins).
This is a journey, and not without pitfalls. We face opposition from our culture, and sometimes even from family and friends.
Reading this passage reminds us that we're not alone - as Jesus' disciples, we're called to make ourselves more Christ-like, to spread His message to the world.

Ponder:
How are you shedding your old wineskin to prepare for a new one?
Pray:
Dear Jesus, help me to turn my back on a culture that shuns and ridicules You. Help me to focus on You instead.
