Written and directed by Graciela Rodriguez Gilio, Beyond The Sun stars child actors Aiden Cumming-Teicher, Cory Gruter-Andrew, Emma Duke, Kyle Breitkopf, and Sebastiάn Alexander Chou, in a modern day tale of hope, faith and courage based on stories from the Bible. The film chronicles the adventures of four young friends in search of God. The uplifting story is intended to spiritually engage, and encourage audiences of all ages to transmit Jesus words, to understand them and integrate them to live a better life, make good choices and help others.
AMBI co-founders Andrea Iervolino and Lady Monika Bacardi produced the film with the religious advise of Monsignor Eduardo Garcia, Bishop of San Justo and General Assistent of FIAC. Co-producers are Graciela Rodriguez and Gabriel Leybu. The movie was financed by AMBI in association with Raven Capital Management and Paradox studios.
The Vatican is home to St. Peter’s Basilica, the Sistine Chapel, and the Vatican Museums, which together, houses some of the greatest works of art including The Pieta, Raphael’s Transfiguration, Leonardo Da Vinci’s St. Jerome In The Wilderness, and a painting of The Last Judgement by Michelangelo. The Sistine Chapel is famous throughout the world as the location where The College of Cardinals from The Roman Catholic Church, meet when a new Pope has to be elected.
A special premiere in support of Beyond The Sun was held at the Vatican this past September. Written and directed by Graciela Rodriguez Gilio, the film is the first time a Pope has ever participated and appeared in a movie. Filmmakers were asked to create cinema that would appeal to children and families, and bring a message of hope, joy, and God’s love to all audiences.
