But every now and then we encounter someone who shows true bravery, character and grit and that’s when we can say, “THAT’S what a hero looks like.” If you see “Unbroken: Path to Redemption” you’ll learn about a real hero, but you won’t get the glossy highlight reel alone. Based on Laura Hillenbrand’s bestselling book, “Unbroken: Path to Redemption” begins where the hit movie “Unbroken” concludes, sharing the next chapter of the unbelievable true story of Olympian and World War II hero Louis Zamperini. Haunted by nightmares of his torment, Louie’s wrathful post-war quest for revenge drives him deeper into despair, putting his marriage on the brink of divorce. But when his wife Cynthia meets Christ at Billy Graham’s 1949 Los Angeles Crusade, her most fervent prayer is for God to help Louie find the peace and forgiveness he so desperately needs. Watch the trailer: https://youtu.be/66aOpcEchZk After viewing the film I had the opportunity to talk with the producer, Matt Baer, about his vision for the film, his hope for our veterans, and the other movie he says I absolutely HAVE to see. https://soundcloud.com/myspiritfm/abby-matt-baer-producer-of-unbroken-path-to-redemption --- *Copyright 2018 Abby Watts* ### Share this article [![Share on Facebook](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/facebook-24x24.png)](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2018%2F09%2F28%2Fchat-with-producer-unbroken-path-to-redemption%2F%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dfacebook) [![Share on Twitter](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/twitter-24x24.png)](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?original_referer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2018%2F09%2F28%2Fchat-with-producer-unbroken-path-to-redemption%2F%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dtwitter&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2018%2F09%2F28%2Fchat-with-producer-unbroken-path-to-redemption%2F%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dtwitter&source=tweetbutton&text=A%20Chat%20with%20the%20Producer%20of%20%22Unbroken%3A%20Path%20to%20Redemption%22) [![Share on Email](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/email-24x24.png)](mailto:?subject=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2018%2F09%2F28%2Fchat-with-producer-unbroken-path-to-redemption%2F%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail%20&body=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2018%2F09%2F28%2Fchat-with-producer-unbroken-path-to-redemption%2F%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail) ** #### About the Author ![Abby Watts](https://www.catholicmom.com/hubfs/_catholicmom/Contriubutors/ABBY%20WATTS.jpeg) ### [Abby Watts](https://www.catholicmom.com/articles/author/abby-watts) Abby Brundage Watts is a mother of two little boys.
