All rights reserved.[/caption] EWTN Global Catholic Network will air the Canonization Mass of seven blesseds, including Bl. Pope Paul VI, best known as the Pope who promulgated Humanae Vitae, and Oscar Romero, known for his defense of human rights. The Mass will air live in English, Spanish and German at 3:30 a.m. ET, Sunday, Oct. 14 on EWTN television and radio. Encores in English will air at noon ET on EWTN, and in Spanish at 4 p.m. ET on EWTN Español. (Find EWTN at EWTN.com/channelfinder.) Programming in all languages will also stream live on EWTN’s website (please go to the drop down menu under the “Television” tab at EWTN.com), and on EWTN-related Facebook pages across the web (see below for links). Special programming before and after the Canonization Mass will be hosted from Rome by TV and Radio Anchor Brian Patrick, EWTN News Senior Contributor Matthew Bunson, and National Catholic Register Writer Father Raymond D’Souza. This team will also host “Raised to the Altars,” a preview show with information about the seven blesseds being canonized, which will air at 6 p.m. ET and 10 p.m. ET, Saturday, Oct. 13, and at 1 a.m. ET (10 p.m. PT), Sunday, Oct. 14. And, of course, the trio will be on hand throughout the month to provide full coverage of the 2018 Synod of Bishops on the topic of young people, the faith and vocational discernment. Other blesseds to be canonized Oct. 14 are: Bl. Francesco Spinelli, founder of the Institute of the Adorers of the Blessed Sacrament; Bl. Vincenzo Roman, a diocesan priest from Torre de Greco in Italy; Bl. Maria Caterina Kasper, founder of the Institute of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ; Bl. Nazaria Ignazia of Saint Teresa of Jesus, founder of the Congregation of the Misioneras Cruzadas de la Iglesia Sisters, and Bl. Nunzio Sulprizio, an Italian teen who suffered the pain of a gangrenous leg with great patience and heroic virtue.
