[**FORMED**](http://formed.org)**,** which originally launched in September of 2015, was created through a partnership of the Augustine Institute, Ignatius Press and Lighthouse Catholic Media. Today it has grown in popularity among Catholics, parishes and Catholic families, with a reach of 50 dioceses, 75 content partners, 5,000 parishes and 1 million subscribers from around the world. The platform features original series, including Reborn (baptism) and Lectio (Eucharist), children’s programming like Brother Francis, and feature films and documentaries, including St. Rita, Mother Teresa, City of Saints, and Finding Fatima. Additionally, [**FORMED**](http://formed.org) includes the largest library of downloadable Catholic books, audio books, audio dramas and more. “Catholics are hungry for good, trustworthy resources for both formation and family entertainment,” said President of the Augustine Institute, Dr. Tim Gray. “[**FORMED**](http://formed.org) has become the largest Catholic collaboration among apostolates, parishes, dioceses and schools in the world, striving to meet this very need. What’s more, in it’s three years, it has enkindled a fire in many hearts to greater love of God! Psalm 39:3 speaks of the heart burning with fire in meditation, and our hope is that these exciting enhancements will invite *even more* souls to experience that fire of love!” “At this time in our world and in our Church, we need to equip, educate and engage Catholics more than ever. And, we need to build collaborations in order to unify and renew the Church. We know that digital media and platforms like this are the way forward, and our growth to date highlights this,” said Matt Meeks, chief marketing and innovation officer at the Augustine Institute and director of [**FORMED**](http://formed.org) (the product). “We’re so excited to offer [**FORMED**](http://formed.org) as a resource for Catholics of all ages and particularly for families. We look forward to launching even more content in the months and years to come via [**FORMED**](http://formed.org) and we have so much more to come for the Augustine Institute in the near future.” [![Formed.org (CatholicMom.com)](http://catholicmom.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/formed_Devides.png)](http://catholicmom.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/formed_Devides.png) Courtesy of the Augustine Institute. Joseph Fessio, founder of Ignatius Press. “The faithful need to know their faith in order to live it. This platform has been a powerful resource in helping everyday Catholics and everyday families learn about their faith, the Saints, the Sacraments, and so much more — and we look forward to a future where parishes and families are revitalized through access to formative, truthful and beautiful content. We consider it a blessing to partner on the development of this platform and to offer the wealth of Ignatius Press’ video and book content to nearly 1 million [**FORMED**](http://formed.org) users.” For more information on **FORMED** and/or to sign up for a free trial of the platform, please visit: [FORMED.org](https://FORMED.org). ### **[Read more of our Tech Talk columns.](http://catholicmom.com/category/tech-talk/)** ### Share this article [![Share on Facebook](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/facebook-24x24.png)](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2019%2F09%2F30%2Faugustine-institute-launches-new-version-of-groundbreaking-platform-formed%2F%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dfacebook) [![Share on Twitter](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/twitter-24x24.png)](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?original_referer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2019%2F09%2F30%2Faugustine-institute-launches-new-version-of-groundbreaking-platform-formed%2F%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dtwitter&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2019%2F09%2F30%2Faugustine-institute-launches-new-version-of-groundbreaking-platform-formed%2F%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dtwitter&source=tweetbutton&text=Augustine%20Institute%20launches%20new%20version%20of%20groundbreaking%20platform%20FORMED) [![Share on Email](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/email-24x24.png)](mailto:?subject=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2019%2F09%2F30%2Faugustine-institute-launches-new-version-of-groundbreaking-platform-formed%2F%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail%20&body=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2019%2F09%2F30%2Faugustine-institute-launches-new-version-of-groundbreaking-platform-formed%2F%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail) ** #### About the Author ![Guest](https://www.catholicmom.com/hubfs/Profile%203.jpg) ### [Guest](https://www.catholicmom.com/articles/author/guest) We welcome guest contributors who graciously volunteer their writing for our readers.
