

- Don’t gossip. (I made a conscious effort to stop doing this years ago. I have occasional slip-ups, but for the most part, this one is a done deal.)
- Finish your meals. (I’m always hungry! This one is no problem!)
- Make time for others. (I’m forever emailing friends and asking if they want to get together.)
- Choose the more humble purchase. (Okay, now we have a challenge! I love shopping and I love good quality. However I am the Queen of the deal! Does that count?)
- Meet the poor “in the flesh.” (I could step up more on this one as I only occasionally find myself meeting the poor “in the flesh.”)
- Stop judging others. (I must admit that here I could use some improvement, so there’s that.)
- Befriend those who disagree. (This one is definitely a challenge.)
- Make commitments, such as marriage. (I’ve been married 37 years and I have friendships in the 20-50+ years range.)
- Make it a habit to “ask the Lord.” (Every. Single. Day.)
- Be happy. (99% of the time.)
