Even though we are present and participate in the Mass, we may not be fully aware of why the sacred liturgy is the most important act of worship we do as Catholics. In [Ave Explores: The Mass](https://www.avemariapress.com/aveexplores-the-mass) you will learn about the history and structure of the liturgy, how to combat distractions during the service, ways to be a more active participant in the homily, and how the Mass can transform your life. You will learn from experts including theologians Timothy P. O’Malley and Susan Timoney, Deacon Greg Kandra, Shannon Wimp Schmidt, Emily Stimpson Chapman, Paula Huston, and Fr. Michael White and Tom Corcoran. [Ave Explores](https://www.avemariapress.com/aveexplores-series) is a free, multimedia educational series created to help Catholics consider aspects of our faith from a variety of angles, considering topics that are relevant to our daily spiritual lives in fresh, engaging, and practical ways. It’s everyday faith for everyday Catholics. The series is also perfect for seekers and those who want to learn more about the Catholic faith. You can get a sneak peek of [Ave Explores: The Mass](https://www.avemariapress.com/aveexplores-the-mass) with a special episode of the Ave Explores podcast on May 4. Host Katie Prejean McGrady will talk with Fr. Patrick Mary Briscoe, OP, about the transforming power of the Mass. #### The full series starts May 11: Week 1 reflects on the Mass through the ages, how to attract young adults to Mass, and the Eucharistic Revival. Week 2 will help you learn how to get more out of Mass. Week 3 looks at choosing a parish, liturgical music, the Latin Mass, Novus Ordo, and cultural experiences at Mass. Week 4 considers the transformative power of the Mass. Also in Week 4, Fr. Blake Britton will answer your questions about the Mass during a special Instagram Live.
