*Pat Gohn offers **a short strong coffee break of faith sharing and teaching in this podcast series on the Beatitudes.*

#### Today’s topic: The Beatitudes

> “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”

In this espresso shot, I examine the sixth Beatitude from Matthew 5:8: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”

This is the seventh podcast in a 9-podcast series devoted to reviewing the eight Beatitudes that open Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount in the [Gospel of Matthew](http://www.usccb.org/bible/scripture.cfm?bk=Matthew&ch=). In this podcast, as with the previous ones in this series, I’m examining how purity of heart reflects Jesus, and how it ought to be a goal in our lives, and finally how this beatitude points us toward heaven.
