Our book club began by delving into Lisa Hendey's reflections on "The Grace of Creativity" and "The Grace of Integrity." Lisa shares many words of wisdom and encouragement in living our faith amidst the busyness of life. Here are two that were particularly profound
"The smartest thing work-wise that I do every day is to include among my morning prayers a plea to accurately hear and respond to God's agenda for my work."
---
"Modern-day integrity sets us apart from a world that is often looking for a shortcut to personal gain. Living with integrity makes us weird, perhaps even more so if the foundational motivation for our integrity is to follow the example of Jesus Christ."
In this week's book club meeting, we will dive into chapter five, where we'll discover one of C.S. Lewis's greatest teachings on the true definition of humility. Then, in chapter six, Lisa helps us peel back the layers or walls we construct in our homes, workplaces, or even online, to reveal the beauty of vulnerability.
We'll meet for four weeks on Zoom, discussing two chapters of the book each week. If you need to skip a session or haven't yet read the chapters, don't worry! We make it easy to come as you are, and we'll share recordings later in case you missed a session or want to review the discussions.
We'll meet Wednesdays at 9 PM Eastern on Zoom:
