No Easter carols. No classic Easter specials. There isn’t even a set date on the calendar for Easter each year!   Yet there is hope to be found, starting with your family attending Easter Mass.    But may I also recommend the [Pure Flix streaming platform](https://www.pureflix.com/) as a place where you can go as a mom to find content that points you and your family to the purpose and meaning of Easter and Holy Week. With stories from the Bible, stories of transformation, stories for kids, and stories for the whole family, you can start your family’s Easter celebration (and new traditions) with [Pure Flix](https://www.pureflix.com/).   Here are just a handful of wonderful movies and shows your family will enjoy this year … and in the years to come.    ![20230405 GUEST Adults_Watchlist](https://www.catholicmom.com/hs-fs/hubfs/20230405%20GUEST%20Adults_Watchlist.png?width=1080&height=1080&name=20230405%20GUEST%20Adults_Watchlist.png)    #### Powerful Easter Movies   There may never have been a movie with a wider-ranging or longer-lasting impact than Mel Gibson’s *The Passion of the Christ,* starring Jim Caviezel as Jesus. And while this R-rated movie and its graphic depiction of Christ’s suffering isn’t for the younger ones in your home, it is a powerful presentation of Jesus as our suffering Savior. It’s an ideal movie for the mature members of your family to watch during Holy Week, helping set the stage for a Resurrection Sunday celebration! *The Passion of the Christ* is available on Pure Flix through April 30.    *Risen* is another great movie for the more mature members of your family. Following the crucifixion of Jesus, a Roman tribune begins an investigation into the empty tomb. What he discovers could change everything. *Risen* is available on Pure Flix through May 14.    ![null](https://www.catholicmom.com/hs-fs/hubfs/20230405%20GUEST%20Family_Watchlist.png?width=1080&height=1080&name=20230405%20GUEST%20Family_Watchlist.png)   #### Options for the Whole Family  Where better to start with the story of Jesus than with *The Chosen,* the blockbuster series that personalizes the lives of Jesus, His disciples, and His followers. Get started with the first episode(s) or set aside time to watch the first two seasons, all available on Pure Flix.    Other Bible-based Easter shows include *The Gospel of Luke,* a critically acclaimed, word-for-word account of the life of Jesus as recorded in the Gospel of St. Luke; and *Apostle Peter and The Last Supper.  * And what would Easter be without the saints … specifically, Mother Teresa. Exclusively on Pure Flix, you can now watch *Mother Teresa: No Greater Love,* which will inspire your family to keep alive her vision to serve the poor in Christ’s name.     ![null](https://www.catholicmom.com/hs-fs/hubfs/20230405%20GUEST%20Kids_Watchlist.png?width=1080&height=1080&name=20230405%20GUEST%20Kids_Watchlist.png)   #### Easter Shows for the Kids  It wouldn’t be a holiday without your *VeggieTales* friends, would it? And Pure Flix has two Easter specials featuring the wacky and yet still reverent Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber. Both *’Twas the Night Before Easter *and *An Easter Carol* will help your kids learn the real meaning of Easter, while everyone enjoys a good laugh or twenty!   There are also a pair of “brick films” on the platform that share the Easter story in a way your Lego®-loving kids will appreciate: *The Messiah: A Brickfilm* and *The Passion: A Brickfilm*. Be sure to find time before Easter to watch these with your kids.    Don’t miss out on these or dozens of other shows you and your family can enjoy that are sure to prepare your hearts for Easter! You can learn more at [PureFlix.com](https://www.pureflix.com/), your home for new Easter traditions.    ![PF-OpenGraph_1200x650](https://www.catholicmom.com/hs-fs/hubfs/PF-OpenGraph_1200x650.png?width=1200&height=650&name=PF-OpenGraph_1200x650.png) --- Copyright 2023 PureFlix Images: (top) Canva; remaining images courtesy of PureFlix, all rights reserved. ### Share this article [![Share on Facebook](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/facebook-24x24.png)](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2Fholy-week-and-easter-movies-streaming-on-pureflix%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dfacebook) [![Share on Twitter](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/twitter-24x24.png)](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?original_referer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2Fholy-week-and-easter-movies-streaming-on-pureflix%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dtwitter&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2Fholy-week-and-easter-movies-streaming-on-pureflix%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dtwitter&source=tweetbutton&text=Holy%20Week%20and%20Easter%20Movies%20Streaming%20on%20PureFlix) [![Share on Email](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/email-24x24.png)](mailto:?subject=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2Fholy-week-and-easter-movies-streaming-on-pureflix%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail%20&body=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2Fholy-week-and-easter-movies-streaming-on-pureflix%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail) ** #### About the Author ![Guest](https://www.catholicmom.com/hubfs/Profile%203.jpg) ### [Guest](https://www.catholicmom.com/articles/author/guest) We welcome guest contributors who graciously volunteer their writing for our readers.
