Journey into His Heart: How the Holy Spirit Led Me into the Catholic Church

Testimonies carry power. Actually, the Hebrew word for testimony is aydooth, which means "do it again." The grace that God gave to the person who shares their testimony is available for us again, only by the word of the testimony.

I’ve read and listened to many testimonies. What strikes me about them is that in every one of them, I see a bit of me. I see how God worked in someone else’s life and I know He can do the same in mine.

For Barbara Heil, life began in a faithless home. She takes us with her on her journey, from finding life in Christ, to becoming an evangelical church-planting missionary and minister, and then finding herself in the Catholic Church.

Journey into his heart

More Than a Simple Testimony of Faith

Barbara’s book is not only her testimony; you will learn how to evangelize, and you will also find apologetics, which answer questions that you, or someone you know, may have about the Catholic Faith.

In these pages, we learn that when tragedy strikes, God draws us closer. We learn that in all situations, God is in control. We also learn that God never forgets His own.

There are parts of me in Journey into His Heart, and I would wager that there is a part of you in Barbara Heil’s testimony, too. As you read it and those parts touch your heart, remember the words, “Do it again, Lord.”

As Barbara followed the path into the Catholic Church, a priest told her that she would be the bridge for non-Catholics to come and understand the Catholic Church. I believe that Barbara is also a bridge for Catholics to not only learn more about the Catholic Church but come to know and to love Jesus and His church even more.
