Kayleigh’s Knight

By Colleen Marie

Kayleigh’s Knight is the second book in Colleen Marie’s Emerald Isle series. Each book focuses on one of the O’Reilly sisters and her freshman year at Emerald Isle University in Ireland.

While there is an underlying storyline that runs through the series, the individual books focus on different main characters and the author does a good job of providing enough background information, making it easy to read them out of order.

There is so much to enjoy in these stories. I especially adored these three American sisters and their close relationships with each other. While the girls love the small town where they grew up in rural Maryland, they are each lured to Ireland to attend the very college where their parents met. I appreciated the sisters’ unique personalities and how they steadfastly supported one another — what a lovely testament to sibling relationships.

The book’s setting was equally special. The beauty and romance of Ireland come to life through the pages and may just entice the reader to add a trip to Ireland to their bucket list.

A Little About the Story

Middle-sister Kayleigh is a writer at heart and excited about attending college. But the unexpected ending of a long-term relationship puts a damper on her new adventure. Add to that a difficult roommate and doubts about her intended major, and Kayleigh is soon questioning her decision to attend college so far from home.

However, her sisters’ support, new-found friends, a handsome acquaintance, and an intriguing mystery begin to help Kayleigh see where God is leading her.

Not only are the stories in this series about self-discovery, but they are also sweet romances set around a decades-old mystery. I’m looking forward to the final book in this delightful series.
