I inherited a Seven Sorrows chaplet from one of my grandmothers. The medals are very well-worn, and some of the letters are nearly impossible to read. I'd wager it spent many years in her hands while she prayed—and in her apron pocket while she baked. Only one of my children ever got to meet her.
Recently, I learned that the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows is an important one for the Congregation of Holy Cross, who count her as their patroness. Catholic Mom, as part of Holy Cross Family Ministries, has a family connection to the Congregation of Holy Cross.
Does your family have a devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows?
