It’s beautifully illustrated with relatively simple and very sweet illustrations in a comic-book format for kids 7 years old and up. The font is a nice size with a combination of CAPS for narration and upper and lower case for dialogue. The people are smiley cartoon (my categorization) in gentle and friendly settings, color, and formatting.   ![20220708 MMcConkey bread of life](https://www.catholicmom.com/hs-fs/hubfs/20220708%20MMcConkey%20bread%20of%20life.jpg?width=1000&name=20220708%20MMcConkey%20bread%20of%20life.jpg)   The *Illustrated Bible* is formatted into 2- or 4-page comic-book spreads covering the key stories of the Old Testament and the key events in the life of Jesus as well as His teachings through His actions or parables.   ![20220708 MMcConkey Solomon](https://www.catholicmom.com/hs-fs/hubfs/20220708%20MMcConkey%20Solomon.jpg?width=1000&name=20220708%20MMcConkey%20Solomon.jpg)   It’s a beautiful Bible and would make an EXCELLENT Reconciliation or First Holy Communion Gift … or an anytime gift to my sweet little goddaughter Marielle. (Don’t tell her!) [The Illustrated Bible for Children](https://ignatius.com/the-illustrated-bible-for-children-6ibch/) by Jean-Francois Kieffer, Geert De Sutter and Christine Ponsard is a hardcover, 253-page Bible, released by Magnificat and Ignatius Press in 2022.
