The Ave Explores: Faith in Action podcast series will showcase a variety of ministries that care for the poor, displaced, imprisoned, and forgotten.

God call us as Christians to love and serve others in a variety of ways. The Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy, for example, urge us to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, comfort the afflicted, visit the sick and imprisoned, shelter the homeless, and pray for the living and the dead.

Ave Explores: Faith in Action will showcase a variety of ministries that care for the poor, displaced, imprisoned, and forgotten. You also will learn about saints — André Bessette, Josephine Bakhita, Mother Teresa, and Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati — whose lives were focused on service to others. And you will walk away with simple, practical ways that you can be a witness and serve your community in everyday life. Each week also includes a challenge to help those in need.

The multimedia series, which runs from June 7 to July 3, will be previewed with a special edition of the Ave Explores podcast featuring Scott Hahn and host Katie Prejean McGrady on June 1.

Other contributors include Rev. Kevin McKenna, Rev. Kevin Sandberg, C.S.C., F. DeKarlos Blackmon, Kathryn Jean Lopez, Fr. John Burns, Haley Stewart, Fr. Michael Thomas, C.S.C., Mary Pezzulo, Archbishop Nelson Perez, and Michael Gormley.
