Learn how to schedule a parish screening of PRAY: The Story of Patrick Peyton, and enter to win a digital copy of the film.
Family Theater Productions aims to help Catholic families deepen their prayer lives by offering parishes and groups licensing and resources for hosting a PRAY: THE STORY OF PATRICK PEYTON screening event. There are multiple ways to screen PRAY, an award-winning documentary film about Father Patrick Peyton, C.S.C., the famous Hollywood Rosary priest who was dedicated to inspiring millions of families to pray together and coined the famous phrase, “The family that prays together stays together.”
PRAY is an incredibly moving movie that has inspired countless people to come together and embrace the transformative power of prayer during these difficult times.
A PRAY screening license can be used to show the movie at a parish, school, ministry, drive-in event or fundraiser. It’s the ideal movie for events hosted by Catholic organizations, especially those devoted to Our Lady, prayer and Bible study groups, and Knights of Columbus councils.
There are digital, and in-person events, for large and small groups and budgets.
Digital Event Options (currently available in the U.S. and Canada):
Invite your parishioners or group members to a private event to view the film on a platform Family Theater Productions sets up for you. Groups are encouraged to then direct viewers to their church’s Zoom platform for a discussion. There is a $75 administration fee paid by the requesting organization and a $5 per login paid by the participant.
Your parishioners or group members receive a private invitation to register for your event, receive reminders and links to participate. There is potential for a pre-recorded welcome message and a webinar style discussion of the film. For an additional fee, Family Theater Productions can offer one of its experts in family prayer or filmmakers to participate in the church’s own Zoom platform for a post-screening webinar. A $2100 administration fee and $1 per login over 1,000 to be paid by the requesting organization.
Live, In-Person Event Options (currently available in the U.S. and Canada):
This license allows a parish or group to conduct several in-person, small, socially distanced events over a 2-day period. Group size varies in accordance with your local guidelines. A $300 license fee for up to 1,000 audience members is paid by the requesting organization.
This license allows for one special, in-person event for your parish or organization with an expert in family prayer or a PRAY filmmaker. Group size varies in accordance with your local guidelines. A $2,500 license fee for up to 1,000 audience members to be paid by the requesting organization (fee includes speaker travel and lodging).
All PRAY licensing requests can be submitted at PrayTheFilm.com/grouplicense. The movie is available for rental and purchase, as well, on iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play.
