Karen Estep observes that evangelization is made easy when you wear Catholic apparel from Totally Catholic Tees.

Too Many Tees? No Such Thing

When you love a company and the message that company is trying to spread, you may pick up a few of the things the company sells along the way, put them in your cart, and buy them. That is me when it comes to Totally Catholic Tees. I may own four or five (or six, seven — if you don’t get this joke, you aren’t around young people enough!). Each t-shirt that I own from Totally Catholic Tees is one of the many ways I have found to outwardly express my love of my Catholic Faith.

I was given one of their “Theotokos” shirts in emerald to review and like the other tees that I have in my collection, it is beautifully designed, thoughtful, probably prayed over, and extra soft. The emerald color may vary from shirt to shirt due to the dying process but it is a rich, soft jewel toned green that goes with everything. The “Theotokos” tee is perfect for the upcoming fall and winter months in color and messaging.

Evangelization Made Easy

The first place I saw a lineup of t-shirts from Totally Catholic Tees was a Steubenville conference a couple of years ago. I went to the gift shop the first day and fell in love with a few of the designs; however, I knew I needed to pace out my spending. So, I bought one shirt and upon my return to the gift shop the next day I bought another. The same thing may have happened at the Steubenville conference I attended last summer as well. Each shirt is designed in such a way that they are all fun, creative, not over the top, yet hopefully make people ask you questions.

I have a feeling this will be my pattern for awhile with Totally Catholic Tees. I am in love with several of their shirts but have to pay out my purchases. Their “Memento Mori” shirts catch my eye every time I see them and would be perfect for All Hallow’s Eve or even All Saint’s Day.

By wearing a shirt that shares theology, you are, in a way, evangelizing. I even get questions about my shirts when I wear them at the Catholic school where I am a teacher. I wear my “Adore” (the O looks like the Eucharist) quite often and students will stop to ask me about it all the time. My favorite part of all of my tees from Totally Catholic Tees is that they have subtle messages that make people want to ask questions.

How To Style

Totally Catholic Tees has t-shirts for everyone in the family, plus a variety of other accessories. Of course, you can do my go-to route which is to pair the t-shirts with jeans, however, there are plenty of ways to dress these shirts up for different activities. My favorite way to wear their shirts to school is with a simple maxi skirt. I have a black and white polka dot pleated skirt that I often pair with t-shirts and all of my Totally Catholic Tees look great paired this way for Mass. You could also wear these shirts with dress pants, a sweater, and or even pair them with blazers. If you watch a new YouTube series I started with the priest at my school, you can often see me in one of their tees as well.
