Seek. Knock. Jesus commands us to play an active role. We know that we should take action to know, to love, and to serve God. Having an vibrant prayer life in which we ask, seek and knock helps us to establish and strengthen our relationship with God over time. As our relationship grows, we are able to view Him and our lives with more clarity. As we seek, we discover increasingly more about His character - His capacity for perfectly and fully loving us; His mercy, tenderness and kindness; and His power. He promises that when we take steps to ask, seek, and knock, He will respond with good gifts. Based on knowing Him, our love for Him and confidence in His goodness builds, and we desire to respond to love with love.
