Join us as we reflect, ponder, and pray together inspired by today's Gospel.

Today's Gospel: Mark 2:1-12

Jesus performed many miracles, but today's account of the paralytic man lowered through the roof is not just a dramatic physical healing, but a demonstration of His authority as Son of God.

Jesus heals the paralytic man, not by laying His hands upon him, but by forgiving his sins.

We might feel downtrodden because of any number of physical ailments, but it is our spiritual ailments, our sins, that need Jesus's healing power.

It is easy to want releif from our physical crosses in this earthly life, but Jesus shows us that it is our spiritual healing through the grace of forgiveness that will prepare us for eternal life.

Ponder:

We do much to care for our physical needs by eating healthy meals and tending to exercise and good habits. Consider making the time for the Sacrament of Reconciliation this week in order to tend to your soul.

Pray:

Lord, thank You for Your sacrifice for our sins. Have mercy on me.
