Join us as we reflect, ponder, and pray together inspired by today's Gospel.
Today's Gospel: John 15:12-17
As moms, we lay down our lives for the children under our watch daily. Whether we bore them, chose them, or pray for and teach them, there are sacrifices we make each day.
“It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you . . .”
We are who we are and where we are at God’s pleasure. He knew us even before we were born and knew whether, with His loving guidance, we would prevail in our callings .
No matter what job I worked, or where I was, my priority was to make sure my children knew where I was and how to contact me. It gave them the security they needed and deserved to grow into confident and responsible human beings. I love my children and now grandchildren more than most anything else. Even to this day, I make changes in my life for them. Sacrificing is what we moms do, and it’s what God does for us.
God is never far from us. We are never alone in our service to those around us, and through the Bible and prayer, our Holy Father tells us all we need to know as his faithful children. God is love and we must always be aware of His love and commands, as they are the good and perfect way to go. It will not always be easy, for sure, but it will be for the good and a righteous life.
Ponder:
Jesus asks us to love one another as He loves us. How do you love others around you through service, action, or words?
Pray:
Dear Lord, thank You for choosing me and those around me. Teach me to love them as You love me.
